Skills gained
The volunteer will develop the capacity of looking at issues of Auroville from different points of view. He/she will need to go deep into sensitive topics and that may cause some change of values or generate some openness in his or her ideas.
Opportunity Description
Context: MagzAV is an art and culture magazine. It wants to be a vehicle that articulates the emerging culture of Auroville.
Goal: Researching and looking at how some issues in the past were solved can give us some light on present situations and help the community to deal with them.
Role of the volunteer: To do some research on different topics going through documentation, radio interviews, talking to people. Sometimes the research could be on sensitive areas of Auroville where conflicts have happened.
Conditions: Tea and discounts in Solar Kitchen meals can be provided.
Duration: A minimum commitment for 3 months is required. The volunteer is welcome to stay longer.
