Teacher for Arts, crafts & Music
Daily Tasks
We offer various arts and crafts to our children. We have full-time teachers for tailoring, clay work, theatre work, music and singing, and dance. We invite volunteers who have skills to share them with our students. The schedule of classes will be adjusted to find time for the skills being offered by the volunteer.
Opportunity Description
Context of the need:
Udavi school runs on limited funds through donations and is a dedicated outreach program. The school caters mainly to the village population and the staff engaged by the school is therefore what is absolutely essential.
With a view to improve the program offered to the children we invite volunteers to come and work with us and bring in fresh energy to the school.

Goals & Role:
The volunteer is required to aid or independently conduct classes everyday with a group of students in the school. Goals will be mutually decided after consultation and depending on the skills of the volunteer.
Timing
Morning hours 8.30 am - 12 noon
Afternoon hours 1 to 4 pm
Prerequisites
The volunteer should be skilled and willing to offer /teach children. Basic level knowledge of any skill/activity will be adequate. Should be able to manage children and enjoy teaching the children. Basic English communication. Tamil would be helpful but not necessary
