Daily tasks: Undertake the whole development of gardens and landscape products. First stage of conceptual design : study ideas, develop design briefs ; In a technical development stage: develop prototypes, evaluation of costs, source materials. In a final presentation stage : develop visuals for discussion with the team, followed by a formal visual presentation of the final product to include in a catalogue.
Daily tasks: Organize workshops for children. Find ressources, topics, facilitators and collaborate with all the others sectors of the farm to get into a pedagogical purpose. Collaborate with the teachers of TLC (The Learning Community), an educative unit of Auroville for children.
Daily tasks: Garden preparation and maintenance, harvesting and food delivery. Weeding, mulching, making compost. Food processing. Seed gathering. Website work, if interested.
Daily tasks: A variety of jobs on the field (planting, mulching, harvesting, nursery and seed saving), CSA production and delivery, help with cooking at the café. As your relationship to the farm deepens you are encouraged to find a specific area of focus : the café, media, art, seed bank, research...
Daily tasks: Maintain 16 acres of land (cutting the bushes, organizing and beautifying the garden, maintaining the kitchen garden); Painting & maintaining the buildings; work on the collective organization of the community and the accommodation of guests.
Daily tasks: The volunteers will participate in building capsules (similar to pyramid shaped hut, with palm leaf roofing, raised on pillars). Besides, they will be involved in cleaning the forest, preparing the plantation of saplings, water harvesting and gardening.
Daily tasks: Create art works or permanent installations with natural materials found within the Botanical gardens or around Auroville. The works will interact with the visitors of the garden, aiming to have a certain environmental education value. The artworks will represent a link between ecology, education and art.
Daily tasks: The landscape design work will be mostly making use of Autocad and Landscaping 3D softwares . The volunteer will interact with a team of experts to bring together various landscaping projects.
