Volunteers for the Upcycling shop at Visitor Center
Daily Tasks
Open and run the shop (cash, digital payment, daily cleaning, keep the shop nice and tidy and make sure all items are visible and well arranged), talk with visitors about the upcycled products in the shop and through it about green practices and green activities happening in Auroville.
According to the volunteers could also be running upcycling workshop, posting on social media, creating posters and booklet.
Skills gained
Connection with upcyclers. Experience in an international collective. Knowledge about green practices worldwide and in Auroville.

We need curious volunteers who wants to learn more about green practices in Auroville, keen to stand for upcycling and low waste way of life, happy to share their enthusiasm with visitors.
Role and Expected Goals
Sharings with visitors about upcycling, waste management, Auroville's and worldwide green practices.
Informations about workshops and places connected to green practices in Auroville.
Selling of the upcycled products.
Accordingly to skills and willingness : communication on social media, creation of communication material, runnings of workshops
Conditions
Volunteer contribution to Auroville could be covered.
Timing
Morning hours
Afternoon hours 1.30pm to 4.30pm (4 half day a week, possibly Saturdays and Sundays. Timings are arranged for the month to come)
Prerequisites
Easy communication. Smiling. Enthusiasm for green practices.
