Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of ERP to manage Vérité’s operational processes, including inventory, finance, guesthouse management, and other functions.
• Configure and customize the ERP system to meet specific organizational needs.
• Provide technical support to staff during and after the ERP implementation, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and system configurations on the ERP platform.
• Integrate and support PostgreSQL databases and manage back-end data flows.
• Handle ticketing systems for IT-related issues, providing timely resolution to user queries.
• Manage content on Vérité’s website and learning management systems, ensuring smooth functioning and updates.
• Provide training to staff on using the ERP system and ensuring they are comfortable with the new processes.
• Collaborate with the tech team to identify, analyze, and solve operational challenges through technical solutions.
• Work within Linux environments for system configurations, ensuring security and performance optimization.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Prior ERP implementation experience (experience with any ERP is acceptable, Odoo experience is a plus).
• Basic knowledge of Python and its application in system configurations and customization.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQL, and database management.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems for administrative and configuration tasks.
• Experience in IT ticket handling and technical support processes.
• Understanding of content management systems, including website and learning management systems (LMS).
• Ability to configure and customize software solutions to suit organizational needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
• Understanding of sustainable practices and how technology can support them.
• Open-source system experience is a plus.

Position and Role of the Volunteer

The Energy Policy Analyst will work on strategic planning, project management, and policy-related projects.

Goal & expected outcome 

The volunteer/intern is required to work on technical aspects of projects related to renewable energy.
