Opportunity Description

The Social Entrepreneurship Association (SEA) is an Aurovillian Unit that develops several projects aimed at addressing societal needs in an integrative and responsible manner. Its flagship project is The Green Silk Road. It aims to establish a travel route across the Eurasian continent with a strong ecological and philosophical dimension. The project promotes alternatives to air travel for Auroville residents of European origin and any travelers making the journey between Auroville and Europe. Air travel significantly contributes to climate change, hence the initiative seeks to offer alternatives while turning the journey into an opportunity for positive societal impact. The goal is to promote overland and/or maritime travel while connecting a vast network of initiatives within countries and local communities, all contributing to the emergence of a more virtuous, desirable, and responsible civilization.
