9 Opportunities for area : Food Production
Daily tasks: The activities at the farm is diverse. The following are the main activities where the volunteer could potentially get involved. Rice cultivation- manual field work and machine use; Dairy-animal husbandry and cow shed maintenance; Food processing-Dairy, cheese-making & fruit ; Farm infrastructure- repair, maintenance and development ; Farm management- Coordinating and supporting the daily tasks at the farm; Forest and related activities; Farm public relations- communication, social media, marketing and fund-raising.

Daily tasks: Cooking, cleaning, serve, decorating, accounting (for the manager only), contact with customers, preparing the space, organinzing events.

Daily tasks: Planting, land cleaning, preparing beds, contributing in the design based on Auroville symbol (12 petals of the qualities of the Mother).

Daily tasks: Writing database, organizing recipes, working on photographic and video material, graphics, working on website content.

Collaborate with kitchen and garden staff to make meals (main focus on lunchtime tiffin service). Collaborate with our health & nutrition researchers to develop and test recipes and develop prepared food products.

Daily tasks: The volunteer is ezpected to explore, identify and connect with potential retail outlets where Taste of Nature can connect with its buyers. Furthermore the volunteer will be expected to discuss the financial aspects as well as the terms & conditions for sale and distribution. The volunteer is also expected to assist the team in overseeing the existing retail- distribution operations of the commercial unit. He is expected to maintain communication, maintain stock information, ensure timely deliveries and ensure retailers are satisfied.
