Aurospirul

Established in 1997 at Simplicity Spirulina Farm, Aurospirul is an eco-social and health friendly enterprise situated in Auroville, an international township in south India.  

The farm is located in Windarra community. Land in Kottakarai has been allocated by L’avenir to expand the activity of Aurospirul. This will be an opportunity to establish an new infrastructure, improve efficiency and quality of the production. The farm will also develop the production of moringa. By producing highly nutritious foods with a minimum of resources, Aurospirul aims at strengthening the self-sufficiency of Auroville. At present, Aurospirul is one of the largest contributors to Auroville in economic terms. 

 

Our vision is to promote health & well-being through food.

Aurospirul is a Commercial Unit producing spirulina, and marketing other products of other herbal products.It is an agricultural activity (although not supported by the farm group). 

 

Hendrik is running the farm with a team of local workers.
