Auroville Dog Shelter
History and today’s organisation.
Auroville dog shelter was set up on 11.4.2023 by FAMC resolution #734
The Auroville Dog Shelter is currently providing loving care and medical treatment to over 300 rescue street dogs in Auroville and the bioregion. We have a foster and adoption program, ABC birth control, and offer a 24-hour emergency service to protect residents from the danger of rabies. Additionally, our shelter is actively working to rebuild our infrastructure to meet the Animal Welfare Board of India rules and regulations, including the construction of a proper drainage system, parvovirus and rabies isolation clinics, protected living quarters for elderly and paraplegic dogs, and bulk purchases of important medicines and vaccinations.
Vision and Missions
