Centre for International Research on Human Unity

A forum for exchanging experiments, energies and resources

History and today’s organisation:

The creation of CIRHU was an initiative promoted by Roger Anger, the Chief architect of the Matrimandir: it is a project developed under SAIIER (Sri Aurobindo International Institute of Educational Research), focusing on study and research into the themes of human transformation, and the conditions favourable to evolution in consciousness and the realisation of human unity. CIRHU wishes to be a meeting point for Auroville and others around the world concerned with these themes – to experiment, have dialogue and exchange, and contribute to the growing understanding of what it means to create and live in a truly spiritualised society.

Vision and Missions

The vision is, according to Roger’s vision, to “elaborate, on the basis of experiments made in Auroville, a knowledge and an education centered on human unity and the future of humanity”.

Presently 3 groups are working in the following lines:

  • discover the “golden threads of the future” manifested through out 47 years of research in Auroville in all domains of life;
  • develop the concept of a building as it was planned by Architect Roger Anger;
  • elaborate avenues for a flexible organization enabling permanently “energy in action”, both one and multiple.
