Light-Fish

History and today’s organisation:

Created in 2009 by  Samvit Blass, Light-Fish is a design studio based in Auroville.

We aspire to be as creative, intelligent, ecologically sustainable and innovative as possible. At Light-Fish we make sustainable choices at every step of the design process.

We minimize waste in our designs and fabrication processes and use top-quality material to increase our products’s life. We have high-precision tools in our workshop which includes CNC, 3D printing, wood and metal lathes. We opt for LEDs in our lights and we directly support reforestation and conservation in Auroville.

Light-Fish provides the following services:

• Product Design. We help our clients to materialize their ideas.
• 3D Product Animation.  We help our clients to present their product ideas.
• Prototyping. We offer specialized services on metals and glass finishing.

Whether a product design process or animation, Light-Fish seeks to offer an entire solution from concept development to the final product.

We at Light-Fish aspire to provide products of the highest quality and precision at affordable rates. We seek a synthesis of functionality and beauty, in which no detail is omitted.

Where intelligence, precision and unbridled creativity come together to create products that are worthwhile and beautiful.

At the moment our objective is to generate the bulk of our revenue through in-house designs so as  to be more selective when choosing design projects that fit with our vision.

Leaders & Team:

Samvit Blass is the  director, designer and 3D animator.

He graduated from Massachusetts College of Art in 2002 and draws on his 15 years as a design professional in the United-States, China and India.
