History and today’s organization: 

The basic mission of Santé: Auroville Institute for Integral Health is to offer a more effective healthcare system to the population of Auroville. To accomplish this task, the team at Santé began adapting the currently emerging healthcare model of integrative medicine to fit the context and reality of Auroville.

Our services include Acupuncture, Allopathic general medicine, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Hypnotherapy & Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Integrative Psychotherapy, Meridian Psychotherapy, Medical & Therapeutic Shiatsu, Midwifery & Gynaecology, Ozone Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Wellbeing and Medical Massage.
Other clinical services offered are nursing care, out-patient care including basic surgical procedures, lab sample collection, in-patient facilities, medical homecare for those in need, and acute care services.

Vision & Mission:

 Auroville Institute for Integral Health is to create an effective health care system for the resident community of Auroville and its visitors by adopting the recently emerging integrative health care model. This practice of medicine is based upon the collaboration of multiple health modalities working together to provide comprehensive holistic care by combining the diagnostic and treatment strengths of diverse health systems to effectively address illnesses where a singular modality may be limited. Thus offering safe, effective, affordable health care that both treats and helps prevent disease.
