Daily Tasks
Volunteers & Interns have quite similar role while working in our bamboo community. They will be given after a proper guidance and an opportunity to attend one of our workshops, different challenges of designing/ making/ experimenting/executing numerous carpentry projects as required for the community and in keeping with Bamboo Centre’s vision.
Skills gained
Through their work, Volunteers will gain theoretical as well as practical knowledge of Carpentry from bamboo.

Auroville Bamboo Centre offers a good opportunity for carpentry and to participate and be part of our Bamboo volunteer community. This is a platform and opportunity to develop numerous designs from eco-friendly bamboo.

Goal & expected outcome to achieve:
Every volunteer will be given an individual project as well as a team project depending on the current requirement, to be finished in given period of time.

Conditions & practical details:
For long term volunteers, Bamboo Centre offers accommodation with breakfast at a cost of Rs. 5000 per month. Additionally, volunteer will be allowed to participate, in any one Bamboo centre workshop (free of cost), upon minimum commitment of two months.
Timing
Morning hours 8.30am -1230pm
Afternoon hours 1.30pm - 5 pm
Prerequisites
Carpentry student, Carpentry professional, Experience/ background in Carpentry.
